This is the initial screen you will see when you first enter the application. This is where you will choose what to do.

Choose "Words" to view the 101 standard words.

Choose "Phrases" to view the 40 standard phrases.

Choose "Add Word/Phrase with Sound", to create your own Word or Phrase with Picture and Sound!

Choose "My Words/Phrases" to view the words and phrases that you created using the "Add Word/Phrase with Sound" portion of the program.

The "Instructions Add Word/Phrase" gives you the necessary instructions to create your own Words and Phrases with Pictures and Sound.

"Important Progam Information" gives you information regarding the proper way to remove the program from your IPhone or IPad. This is to remind you to remove all the sound and picture files that you created using the "Add Word/Phrase with Sound" portion of the program.

Doing so activates a link to a web page that takes some time to load due to the large amount of information contained in the web page.

Alert: If you are using a browser other than Apple's Safari Browser you may be required to run an add-on to the browser to hear the sounds that are embedded into the web page. If you are unable to hear the sound after the installation of the Plug-in try right clicking and selecting "Play" from the drop down menu.

 

This is the "Phrases" screen. This is where you will choose a phrase from the standard phrases list. Pressing on one of the phrases will play the associated sound.

This is the screen you will see when you choose the "Add Word/Phrase with Sound". This is where you will collect the information necessary to create your own personalized Word or Phrase using images from your photo library and anyone's voice to create the sound assocated with the word or phrase that you place in the text box above the image.

Pressing the "Capture Image" button will open up a window allowing you to choose an image from the photo library on your device. This image can be sized and moved to meet your needs.

Pressing the "Start Recording" button will activate the sound capture capability of your device so that you may record any sound that you would like to associate with the image and word or phrase. It will also change the button to read "Stop Recording" so that you can press the button again to stop recording. If you do not press the button the recording will automatically stop after 5 seconds. Once the recording is complete a "Play Recording" button will appear to allow you to listen to what you have recorded.

Once the Word/Phrase is entered into the text box and the image is displayed and you have recorded a sound you can press the "Save Information" button to save your information.

*Note: Should you have the exact same Word or Phrase in your current Word/Phrase list it will be overwritten without warning.

 

This screenshot shows you an example of what the screen above should look like after you have filled in all of the information necessary to create your personalized Words and Phrases. The last thing to do is choose the "Save Information" to save the information to your device.

*Note: Should the text box not be properly filled out or the image not been chosen or no sound has been recorded an Alert Box will pop up letting you know what the problem is. If there are multiple problems it will choose the first problem it sees to alert you.

 

This is a screenshot of what the screen will look like when you choose the "My Words/Phrases". This screen will display the Words and Phrases that you created using the "Add Word/Phrase" portion of the "Can We Talk?" App.

Notice the "Edit" Button in the upper right corner of the screen. This button when pressed will initiate an edit session. This will shift the table to the right and add a button similar to this one pressing this button will change it to look like this button and place a button like this on the other side of the row. Pressing this button will delete the word or phrase that you created with the "Add Word/Phrase with Sound".

*Note that once you have pressed the "Delete" button the customized word or phrase is deleted from your device permanently.
